Haw River Assembly

The Haw River Assembly, founded in 1982, focuses on the Haw River and Jordan Lake in Guilford, Rockingham, Caswell, Alamance, Orange, Chatham, Durham and western Wake Counties. This 501(c)(3) non-profit citizens’ group works to restore and protect the Haw River and Jordan Lake. To that end the Assembly promotes environmental education, conservation and pollution prevention. It is the voice for the river in the public arena. It puts the tools and the knowledge into peoples’ hands so that they are effective guardians of the river.
